The Insight spacecraft of NASA finally made its landing on Mars yesterday. Now, it is ready to start digging deep and discover more about the Red Planet. On the other hand, the CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk has said that he has 70 percent possibility of going to Mars himself and possibly to even live over there. During an interview, he told Axios on HBO that Space X is a private organization that specializes in launching cargo and satellites into space aboard their reusable Falcon 9 rockets. The company has made a number of breakthroughs, about which Musk is extremely charged up. He did not share further details on that aspect and rather went on to talk about making Mars a colony.
Elon Musk has always been quite excited whenever the talks are around colonizing Mars. So, if he indeed goes over to Mars, it will not surprise anyone. Earlier in the year, the Falcon Heavy rocket from SpaceX launched the red Tesla Roadster into space. This was accompanied by a mannequin dressed up as an astronaut. Earlier in the month, SpaceX tweeted by saying that the car had moved well beyond the orbit of Mars. Now, the question is, would Elon Musk really travel to Mars if there is any chance? This is not for the first time that he has talked about going to space. Earlier in the year, he said that he might join the billionaire from Japan, Yusaku Maezawa on a trip all around the moon, which is scheduled for 2023.
When Yusaku Maezawa was announced as the first person, who has booked a private flight to the moon with SpaceX, Musk said that there was a chance of him accompanying the Japanese Billionaire as well. Maezawa had agreed on Musk joining him in the flight. One goal of SpaceX for the future is to take human beings over to the Moon and Mars onboard the company’s special spacecraft known as Starship. Starship was previously known as Big Falcon Rocket. The initial mission of the spacecraft is to take passengers to any location on Earth in less than one hour.
